Leaving on a Jet Plane

Let me see if I can get a discussion going. So K and I have been giving more consideration to expatriating. We are nowhere near having the means to do this, but for us it is a question of near to mid term goals. Has anyone else out there among my vast readership given any thought to emigrating? If so, where would you consider going? For those that have not considered this, if you had to live somewhere else, where would you head?

  1. I still vote for France. I don't care if they are socialist. It's pretty. And they have great food.

I don't even know what expatriating means. But from the rest of the blog I think I figured it out. Levi would go to Austria and I would highly consider opening a mo-ped store in Bora Bora. If we're not going to be in America, it better have an ocean (a WARM one too) and lots of coconut bra's.

No but really...we have never thought of it seriously. If it were to be serious, I think we would do Norway. I have heard a lot about it being a great place to live and it's BEAUTIFUL there.

  3. I'm already in Alaska, so I would probably stay there. It's the closest thing to another country that I would ever want to live in.

  4. I'm already an expatriate. I moved here from Texas. Seriously though, I have friends in Australia and Krista and I would probably end up there.

    1. I believe they have rather stringent immigration policies. I'm sure you'd be fine though, especially since you have a friend there. Apparently having some kind of sponsor is a huge step up. I've though about Australia, but I there were a number of things that turned me off. However, we'd certainly come visit you all if you went!

  5. HAHA, Jae. It's true. Texas is a nation. I change my answer: I vote Texas.

    1. Perhaps if Texas actually seceded.

    2. Hey Gabe I like your blog. I just got around to it. True to its name, it is quite boring, at least for the unrefined. I heard Estonia is supposed to be like the closest thing there is to a libertarian country. And there's only like a million people there. I'll go if you do.

Write me sometime Baby. XOXO - Kris

    3. Haha. Good to hear from you Kris! I have not hear anything about Estonia. I'll have to look into that for sure. Maybe the 6 of us will go check it out sometime.
